Dragfest - August 2nd 2014 - Blackbushe Airport
Discussion
About time we put this on the agenda , it needs a bit more publicity than it's getting , I would love to see this one happen , being old enough to remember being there in the 70s

No , it's definitely going to happen , more of a question of how big an event it will be , more publicity will generate more interest , stalls booked etc - if you build it they will come
I'll be there!
So how does it work, do they shut the runway and use it as a drag strip?

Facebook page for the organiser https://www.facebook.com/groups/228905460571232/. It's a one-man show really but quite a few turn up to most of the monthly meets.
Looked like a good turn-out on Sunday. Shame I was too busy to nip up there.

I watched Slick willy go over in the 80s there. Went up there in my Pontiac to watch. Did a bit of informal drags over the back with Rodger and his Buick.
Anyone have any photos of Glenn Alexanders roof chopped Granada mk1 with Buick Wildcat engine and Jag IRS. Ive been trying to track some down.
