Autoworld Brussels

Hi,

Visiting Belgium next month. Have been told of a great car museum there. I'm assuming it's Autoworld in Brussels.

Has anybody been? Worth the drive over from Bruges? Any advice? Anything to look out for?

I haven't been to Autoworld as I wasn't certain of what parking is available there.

But I have been to the Mahy museum can't remember where it is but it is quite good.

I've been two or three times. There's free parking on the cobbles directly outside. It's not worth driving from Bruges though as it's a bit of an old, dusty museum and doesn't have anything particularly special. Fine if you're in town but it's no Beaulieu!

Nothing for petrolheads in Brussels, however, if you've never been to Brussels and never had a large Leffe Brune in the Roi d'Espagne (King Of Spain) on the Grand Place followed by moules frites in one of the little restaurants off the place then it's a VERY good second bet!

I went there last November, as said parking right outside. It's not brilliant, some interesting cars to see but probably 1.5 hours max

I live between Bruges and Gent. There are several interesting routes - the Ieper Salient (WW I) - the Flemish Ardennes - which are worth driving.

There are a couple of car musea (museums???) here also - Mahy Mobile is certainly worth a visit.

I've driven several routes with visiting PH'ers - you can PM me if you'd like to meet up for a hoon.
