I'm attending my first Breakfast Club this weekend. Can't wait!

How does the parking work? Is it first come, first served? Is there proper tarmac parking facilities, or is it grass field parking etc?

Thanks everyone.

If you have a "theme" car then you need to register if you want to park on the circuit.

Depending on demand you'll otherwise either be on hard-standing or, more likely, cut grass.

I would suggest getting there early if you want to avoid the traffic (again, weather depending).

They are a great event - plenty of variety of cars and well worth spending a couple of hours wandering around.

As per response from Will above parking will depend on attendance and is likely to be a cut field as per the FoS. The weather is the key driver for attendance and if we have a good couple of days in the lead up to next Sunday and no rain on the day it is likely that attendance will be very high indeed. As such traffic locally can be horrific and it is a bit hit and miss as to how this gets organised on the day as every Breakfast Club I have attended has had issues to varying degrees with this.

To be honest though being parked off the circuit (ie: not a themed car) can be excellent as some of the cars on display in the visitors parking are always a show on their own thumbup

Get there very early and you will get to park on tarmac in the main car park to the right of the circuit entrance, after that fills up (by about 7 o' clock or earlier) you will be directed to the grass fields further down the road. Unless it's been raining these are normally fine even for low cars.

If you have a themed car you probably should have registered already, although I imagine they would make room for something like a 250 GTO at this late stage, and you get to park on the start/finish straight or in the paddocks inside the track.

There's plenty of themes for you in the calender, an S2000 will get you into more themes than many Italian cars in fact.

April - Japanese Cars.
May - Soft top Sunday.

Guys, if I turn up on a motorbike (Triumph not Ducati!) do you think I will be allowed in to the circuit to park on the hard standing? My bike only has a side stand and is very heavy, cant imagine field parking will work!

Yes, you will be directed to the motorcycle parking. You can ask them where it is:

I've never seen any bikes parked in the field (didn't think you could to be honest) and there are loads of bikers there judging by all the guys walking around in leathers. This one is Italian cars and bikes so there will be loads of bikers.

I take my bike a lot and you you basically go into the circuit (signposted themed cars and motorcycles) and you park on the right, either overlooking the entrance or opposite the Revival supermarket.
Unless you are remarkably early there will already be bikes parked up.

I plan to be there with my themed car 'car pass' so hoping for good weather and a dry run, especially as I need to clean the car on Saturday after its Euro trip last weekend. D

Just heard from Goodwood only themed cars to park inside circuit. So will have to park in the fields out side. Shame will need a 4x4..

Will these actually be open for non themed cars?

Where else would the non-themed cars park?

With a decent weather forecast I'd expect this to be fairly busy - if it's not too boggy I'd anticipate the field on the approach from Goodwood house to be open (as it was for the Revival only a few weeks ago I think).

I very much doubt it's going to be too wet for the fields to be used - the Revival had massive downpours and a significantly higher number of attendees who seemed to manage. In any event, if the fields are unusable then they'll presumably allow non-themed cars into the circuit.

Forecast is pretty good BTW.

Forecast is excellent, as mentionoed above. It's abeen quite dry here, down south, ( I live nr Guildford) so unless the circuit got hammered this morning, I can't see it being too bad. smile
