Thanks,
Have a few sets of pants
Have 90% euros cash-though been told take card for self service fuel
Insurance docs, good idea thanks
Phone I've stuck £30 on for emergencies. Otherwise I'll be on Wi-Fi only.
Bulbs, are these compulsory?
Breathalyser, I think the latest on these is that the fine is now £0.
Have got most of the above in a little day bag I use for taking my pack up to work.
Cheers

paper part of licence if yours is Photo version.
non-Spanish reg vehicles only need 1 triangle but recommended is 2, try arguing with a non English speaking Traffico
economy down the toilet....easy way to make money? stop foreign motorists as well as their own
couple of other piece of advice given to me by friends in Murcia.....
at Stop signs..STOP. apparently you're supposed to wait 3 seconds before moving off even if clear..on the spot fines
Roundabouts....the Spanish it seems have no conception of how to use them...straight over means just that, they straightline 'em ignoring any lines such as we are used to here. scary the first time i saw it at 80kph on a dual carriage roundabout
Enjoy the trip

Take wind-proof/shower-proof top. It can be cold/windy on top of a mountain (assuming you'll be taking the scenic route rather than motor-way tunnels).
Having said that potentially there are quite a few two-way tunnels en-route so what about headlight beam deflectors? Easily cut from black Fablon or similar (B&Q).
Also I normally take spare belts i.e alernator etc.
Think spare bulbs are compulsory in France but not the Breahtalyzers (IIRC they brought the legislation in but decided not to enforce it.
Also in France be very careful about speeding in towns, villages and built-up areas = on-the-spot-fines.
Enjoy the trip.
Cheers, Pewe.
