Bromley Pageant Of Motoring
Discussion
Just a reminder for everyone that Sunday 9th is The Bromley Pageant Of Motoring in Norman Park Bromley. If the weather is good generally it is awesome, I think it is the biggest classic car event in the world???
What I love about it is you see some real rare gems of cars, some stuff still in daily use and some only wheeled out for sunny days. It's not all Concourse perfection ( although there is that there ) and you see lots of cars to jog your memory from childhood.

The "Peter James Insurance" Bromley Pageant of Motoring is still the biggest one-day classic car show in the world!

Gotcha!
You wouldn't know it, but I'm sitting in the drivers seat of the TVR on the right chatting with its owner (Andrew), left mine at home today & walked there instead.I don't think the show is anything like it used to be, but it was nice to walk around with friends & bump into a few people we know.
Nick

Ah i learn something new everyday
Yeah apart from the weather it's nice to get out in the fresh air rather than lazing about inside. My friend was going to take his V12 Vantage but only just missed out and was even more gutted by the fact his would have been the only one there! & on Astons 100
Next time he might take it, Saves queuing up if it's cold again & nice to be part of the show in a way otherwise we will just buy in advance.

Me and my dad went down to the show today, sadly in a very boring diesel Corsa.
Whose is that Pontiac Grand Prix above? The owner flashed his lights, presumably having seen the PH smiley on our Le Mans stickered Corsa, as we passed him on our way home.
If you're on here.

I got there with my father around 1pm. The que to pay was stretching into the distance. 3 teenagers taking money.£14 entry for adults. It pains me to wait in line to hand over money. Left without getting in having waited 20 mins. What a nonsense.
Yep, I got there around the same time and saw the same queue. If it wasn't for the fact a group of friends were near the front, and called me to join them. I'd have gone home too. The ticketing was very badly organised, 2 desks taking an age to process cash/cards. They should have had more staff, with at least a basic grasp of numeracy. There was a good selection of Aston Martin, a half dozen Ferrari, a couple of Porsche and a load of MX5/RS Fords. A couple of interesting cars in the reserved parking, but overall a poor selection and not worth the effort or entrance fee.
I think it cost me the same to get into Wilton House last summer. Then we saw a superb selection of cars in a stunning setting. Comparing Wilton to the BPOM was like comapring a Sunday League game to the Champions League Final.
Wouldn't recommend it....
Never went this year but its about 5 mins down the road and been other years.
To be honest turning up at 1pm is late doors for this event and im not surprised there was a que.
Always a great turn out, had a little Sunday drive around the park and saw some lovely motors on the road including a tasty looking convo of "Cossies" .

I cant comment on the ticketing as I got there at 7:30 and had an exhibitor ticket but I have to disagree with some of the number. We had 14 Ferraris and a Ford GT on the Club Scuderia stand and were next to a Porsche stand which must have had a similar number of cars and a multitude of cars over and above MX5 and Fords. Agreed it was not as full as previous years it was not anything like as poor as the picture painted in this post. There was a good selection of Aston Martin, a half dozen Ferrari, a couple of Porsche and a load of MX5/RS Fords. We were in the ring as a club at 12:00 & there seemed to be quite a few spectators.
Thought the displays were great, with a huge mix of cars. Not a great mix of cars for sale though.
