I'm going to N, Cornwall in a couple of weekends time and will have several spare hours to kill on Sat pm and Sun am. Does anybody have any good suggestions for filling this time enjoyably - I've already got beer and leching opportunities sorted (obviously I'm still open to suggestions though). Answers on a postcard please.

There are no good roads in North Cornwall, this is due to them being far too winding and narrow, and for most of the summer they are clogged with holiday makers.
As for places to visit, north cornwall is a veritable wasteland, The only place of merit is the wind farm around Treneglos, on the A395 that cuts between the A30 and the A39. North cornwall is a lovely place but exciting it aint. Have a lovely time .

Spent a week down there at Easter, be careful there are lots of speed cameras on the main A roads (A30, A39). At one point heading East back to Saltash (A30 I think without looking at the map) there were three in a half mile stretch . I maintain it must be another form of tourist tax to compensate for the lack of visitors these days
I did find that some of the b roads are particularly good. There's one that’s N/S across the middle of Bodmin Moor which is v nice in stretches, well it was at Easter, probably full of caravans now .
