Village Fete display - West Kent 22nd June
Discussion
Guys - This year I have been roped into helping organise our village fete in Speldhurst, which is near Tunbridge Wells.
One of the things we normally have at the fete is a display of classic and interesting cars. In recent years the display has been looking a little sad, so I was hoping we could get a few exotics, a little Pork, or maybe Caterhams, Loti etc down there to get it looking a little more interesting....
So I'm after volunteers who would like to show their car.. We would need you there from around 10.00/10.30. You would be able to leave whenever you wish, but it would be great if the cars could stick around until mid afternoon if poss. The fete closes at 4.00, we just need to ensure cars are not coming and going during the day.
It's just a static display, no prizes are handed out, it's not a concours event, but having said that if we got enough cars there I would run a competition for the favorite car at the fete, with a certificate and little cup or something....
What do you recon...? Anyone up for this..? It is a great family day out, classic village fete, beer tent, lots of food and kids stuff etc.
I'd need to limit numbers to around 40 cars at this point - Please reply to this thread and PM me if you'd like to put your name down.
Cheers - Rich

Will the Langton Green Tandoori be doing a stall again? Spent a brill evening there in 2000 scoffing the unsold remainders whilst helping to clear the beer...were there cars there too?
Sadly I do not possess a rare 7 or Lotus. But my MR2 is available if absolutely necessary (if only to demonstrate the hood as being superior to every other rag top ever invented). And I live over the back.

This is great stuff guys! An F-car or two would be amazing!!!! Monaro would be a winner, Beemer M-cars are welcome and any real oldies would be great too - Last year there was a kinda motorised wheelchair that must be 80 years old, and a stunning E-type too.
The worry with an event like this is if the weather is really bad, the whole thing could be a wash-out. Fingers crossed for sunshine eh..?? In previous years we have been lucky!!
Any more..?? - Particularly interested in "interesting", classics, unusual or exotics.
