All,

If you can confirm your attendance on this post or by email I can ensure that their are enough spaces and that the beer tent is adequately stocked.

This looks like it will be a goo day out!!

Is anyone meeting in Basingstoke before hand?

Cheers,

Simon

Simon.

I have checked with Mrs Don and we can make it. So...we'll be there. Might bring the Porker too for comparison!

Could you post up a schedule of the fete and I will help set up a Basingstoke to Vernham Dean run to arrive at a specified time. All it requires is doing the drive one weekend prior to check the route (road surface, cameras, potholes, difficult junctions (if you're a convoy), timings etc.

If anyone wants to come along on the "check-it-out" drive that would make it a bit of fun...

We are in Sunny Andover!

Thought we were the only ones until a while back, but there is a guy around the corner with a Chimaera also -not had a chance to say hello yet apart from the odd wave, but will do soon no doubt.

Were you at Don's excellent Pie and Drive the other week?

HH.

Me and the missus are keen too. We'll also be coming from Basingstoke way so are up for a convoy type thing on the way there.

Also available for any scouting missions beforehand!

Is anyone going to Brands the following day, too?

Simon,

I'd like to come, but wondered if this event is exclusively for people who like driving fast armchairs or are real sports cars welcome ?

Why don't we start in the *usual* spot. (Where everyone met last time rather than my well-intentioned but less good right by the Spruce Goose spot). The first left turn car park after entering the Basingstoke Leisure Centre....unless this will be too busy on a Saturday?

Great. Can I e-mail you from your profile? Is it OK with the Basingstoke PHers if we scout it out and do seomthing like the last Pie and Drive to get there?

I've really no idea how busy it'll be, but depending on numbers/depart time we could begin elsewhere? We'll assume the "usual" spot for now, though, I guess.

Well, let's hope there's some decent parking this time, then, not like that "park on a rough field" do for the toca/gt do! (and preferably somewhere within 20 yards of the track )

Damn it, I really fancied this as the last one with the Basingstoke crowd was great fun, but alas I am at Glasto and the car will be tucked up safely in Henley.

Oh well, I am sure there will be another one.

Can we get one of those calendar thingies set up? Can us mortals do it or do we need Ted's powers employed on our behalf? Is there already one?

Sorry, I'm not very good at all of this new-fangled electricery business...

Not sure yet. I'll be talking to the Management (all hail she who must be obeyed)tonight. If you are e-mailable from your profile then I'll get in touch after that. It'd be a plan to take two or three cars on a recce and make sure the roads/surfaces etc are OK.

Pub sounds good...

Oops, sorry about that! I should have checked, but I thought I'd enabled it from the beginning.
