True, in the same way as a Ferrari or Lamborghini is just a car.
but it just isn't you cannot possibly compare a car to a numberplate. A car has many different features not to mention the fact it can help you travel from A to B. a numberplate is nothing more than a piece of plastic, one element. A nice ferrari or lambo can have lots.

I was going to buy W40RES a few years back but the missus decided she didnt want to drive a car with it on....bloody spoilsport cos I thought it was great!

Slightly off thread. Sorry. But why do people who have a car ie VW golf and have a VW blah blah numberplate or BMW with BMW blah blah on the numberplate. Or even an F40 with an F40 numberplate? I know these are very expensive to buy, but people know what kind of car it is without having to read it on the numberplate.
