I'm looking at buying a 328 GTS and am considering going to Kent High Performance Cars - the Ferrari Centre near Maidstone. Seem OK but as I don't know too much about them, wondered if anyone has had any dealings with them - good or otherwise?

Am only asking as I was one of the ones to get caught by Rosso Corsa and do not want a repeat of that!

Never bought from them but I do check their stock frequently. I was seriously interested in a 550 they had last year which was on SOR. The price was high and they (or the owner) wouldn't even consider an offer, so I walked away. I would buy from them if the deal was right as they have been around a while and I haven't heard anything unnerving about them.
Another potential source is Foskers at brands hatch (if KHP is local to you) and they seem to be a little more realistic in the pricing policy dept and again have an OK rep.

I was down there about 6 weeks ago looking at 550's and they were very helpful indeed, think sales guy I dealt with was a guy called Matt? Their prices were very much on the high side (lots of SOR's)but I felt comfortable enough to buy from them if the right car comes along, (although an M400 is calling me again). I believe their labour rates for servicing are very good as well.

I would agree. I purchased from Foskers 2 1/2 years ago. If they had not got what I was after KHPC were to be the next telephone call and I have not heard any negatives about them. Jeff and Colin Fosker and their team are always helpful and even fixed a wiring problem for me on the spot when I just called in and needed it sorted before going on a trip. Am more than happy with pricing policy, including service/ maintenance.

I have dealt with them on several occasions and found them excellent. In my experine you will not find any better and I would not have any problems recommending them to anyone. I was originally sent there by a good friend who has been using them for 15 yrs. Having sold a car through them I can also testify to the fact they won't sell anything unless it's absolutely spot on. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

KHPC will even let the likes of look around! Does the owner still wear natty shorts?

I bought my 328GTS through them. The car was serviced and presented in great condition for a 1990 motor. One or two niggles that I put down to age but for example I needed a screw for a latch that was missing and they sent it. Overall I was happy with their service.

Good experience at both KHPC and Foskers.

Have Rosso Corsa relocated to Gibraltar ?

Yeah, best you can do is write up your experience (honestly) on google reviews or www.cardealerreviews.co.uk/ or similar, and then post on PH something like "anyone looking to buy from here should check out the google reviews first", which is a perfectly legally unobjectionable piece of advice to give to fellow PHers.
