Hi,

I am very close to buying a Speciale from a car dealership (not Ferrari).

I am trying to obtain the original spec that they car came in, so I can see if / what has been changed over the years on the car.

Does anyone know if it is possible to lookup the car? The dealership gave me the VIN.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Not sure if this will help but you could try asking on the Ferrari Chat forum as there are some knowledgable people on there.

Jtremlett on here or Ferrari Chat will know. Also most good indies can call up their favourite main dealer and find out for you in 1 phonecall.

Selling dealer should be able to supply you with it via Ferrari UK. If they cant or wont I'd ask why

If its a non-franchise dealer and you have the VIN call parts or service dept of a franchise dealer and/or FNE HQ Slough

Thanks all.

I’m buying the car in Dubai, and I don’t have any contacts here, like the UK, so I want to be careful and find out the full history of the car and spec before I buy.

Dubai. Ignore my earlier post, thought it was UK based.

Any franchised dealer can look up the chassis number in Modis (Ferrari's computer system) and see the specification which they can then print out for you. It doesn't have to be in the country the car is located or was originally sold. If you are unable to ask a franchised dealer yourself then you can PM me the VIN and I should be able to get it done.

Do Speciale not have a chassis plate in the frunk (or was that a later thing)?

Thabk you Jtremlett… PM sent.

Unfortunately the Speciale doesn’t have the plaque… but the Speciale Aperta does.

I think it became more standard then from the 488 onwards.
