Yes...they do occasionally break down!

I was on the receiving end of absolutely awful customer service from The AA. Needed towing, so needed a flat bed. The AA subbed it out and misdescribed the issue and listed it as non-driveable (despite me explaining very clearly what was wrong).
Their staff do not listen, and it took 45mins on the phone to even "book" a flat bed via The AA customer service team who seem to be staffed by people who have never seen a car before.

This resulted in a one hour wait taking three hours, as no one apparently wanted the job. I was only told this by the guy who collected it, not The AA, who never gave me a single update at any moment. The saga continues as they then didn't even take it to the garage, as it was now too late, so they are currently storing my car overnight before delivering it.

So...NOT The AA 😀

Anyone recommend me another service that actually might do the job?.

Think you may have posted this in the wrong sub forum.

Was a Supercar that broke down, and due to the low ground clearance The AA subbed out the towing, which resulted in a mess.

If it wasn't a supercar, I doubt I'd had any problem, as The AA's usual patrols would have lifted the front wheels and towed it behind their van.

It appears that The AA does not have any/many flatbed tow trucks.

After a breakdown service that others have found actually reliable for supercars, if such a thing exists.

Ferrari Assistance is actually the RAC. I’ve never needed towing, but presume they must have the facility to do so if necessary

Sorry for the misunderstanding, it just wasn't clear that you were talking about a supercar.

Thanks also for the heads-up regarding the AA
