Purchased a 488 from them in May that was also an SOR. I arranged an independent PPI at their premises that they were more than willing to allow and they provided access to one of their ramps to assist with this inspection. There were a number of very minor faults identified but GVC rectified them without too much negotiation.
The process of concluding the transaction was less than straight forward, however, and a miriad of excuses were given as to why there was a delay in the car being ready for collection. Apart from this everthing else was relatively painless, so as long as you are happy with the car itself and have done your due diligence, although far from perfect, they are not as bad as some will have you believe.

I was interested in a car they had and did my own background research and decided to go with another option. Obviously you can only go on publicly available feedback and no doubt folk with no problems rarely post positive reviews. As the cars are SOR then it's really the car rather than the dealer that's the important bit. For me, the distance involved would have required a bit of trust if I was committing so decided against it. To be fair, I had a great experience at another Dealer but haven't posted a review to reflect that and probably would have been all over it had it been negative so hands up to being a hypocrite.

Thanks for some info on a recent purchase, I don't doubt some people have a reason to criticise but it's somewhat reassuring to hear a purchase can be relatively smooth. As said elsewhere people rarely post reviews when every happens as it should. The process of concluding the transaction was less than straight forward, however, and a miriad of excuses were given as to why there was a delay in the car being ready for collection. Anymore else with recent experience, they seem to shift a lot of stock so would be good to get more feedback.

I steer clear of used dealers that sell supercars and have their own service departments.
Hm. Now that I think about it, I guess even if they're experts in said car, there's no benefit to them doing a decent job on rectifying anything that you pick up during the test drive? "Just make the warning light switch off. Loosen the bulb or something."Hoofy said:

Or clear the codes in the ECU and hope a code doesn’t appear during the test drive. Even authorised dealers can’t always be trusted, which is why you need to do a visual inspection yourself and trust your gut feeling. One other thing I will add, and something independent PDIs can sometimes miss, is mileage blockers. These are very common among VW products, particularly modern Lamborghinis. They’re hard to detect, which is why visual inspection is key. The biggest indicator is interior wear and tear, especially on the seats because a car with, say, 2,000 miles shouldn’t have excessive wear on the driver’s seat.
Buying a used supercar is like playing Russian roulette; you never quite know what you’re getting until it’s too late.

I was interested in a car there earlier this week (see towards the last few posts of the link that has been provided).
Alarm bells started ringing when someone showed me various TikTok videos which went along the lines of “most would charge you £3k for this job on a Lamborghini , but we did our own hose and it cost £25” - it was a fudged approach to the fix.
Knocked my confidence on how cars are prepped and the reviews were the final nail in the coffin.
Do your own research and all that…

Found a good 991 GT3 Touring and for some reason it was there…nestling amongst a hideous collection of Hummers, Lambozzz and Brozzz wandering around. Was like a North face outlet.
Got the car professionally PDI’d and had it lifted. SOR as the majority would be.
It’s a car showroom …just. Doesn’t matter who you buy from , just do the due diligence.
