My 1995 LHD Ferrari 456GT has play in the steering rack. I was advised to replace it.

1. Does anyone know of a used left-hand drive 456 steering rack for sale?
2. Is it possible to refurbish this steering rack with play on both sides? If so, does anyone have any recommendations or experience of this?

It might be worthwhile posting this on ferrarichat.com in the 456/550/575 section. They are usually a helpful crowd with a huge amount of knowledge on these cars.

I have posted this question on Ferrarichat as suggested.

However, most of their steering rack threads are about leaking racks. Mine has play in it, but no apparent leaks. Eurospares can supply a new rack to order at £5,045.00 with VAT included.

I'd like to find a used lhd rack.

Worth a phone call to Kiley Clinton engineering or ICS, both in Birmingham. They may be able to recondition it for you. No affiliation with either, but I did chat to them when I was looking to rebuild a rack and they were very helpful.
