Anyone know if this is a plug and play? are they better than 488 carbon seats? looking at a lovely 488 spider with Daytonas and its a no go as is ..

Never heard of it done. Not sure the aesthetic would work in a 488 and I’d venture it would be catastrophically expensive. Wouldn’t you be better getting some Goldrake seats for 10-15k?

Was thinking very much the same. You may even be able to purchase just the Goldrake covers and have an upholsterer retrim them.

I think if changing seats, I would get some nice bucket seats - the Ferrari seats imo are neither particularly comfortable nor do they give proper side support. Keep the Daytonas and just put them back in the car when you sell it. Should work out much cheaper for better seats (which you can then resell when you sell the car).

I don’t agree, so I suspect it’s a try it yourself scenario. I did 2000 miles (8 hours a day) in the goldrake carbon 488 seats this summer and was very supported and comfortable. Amazingly had no back ache at the end of the trip!!

Even if you could get the sf90/296 seats in the car (almost anything is possible) the cost would be absolutely huge.

I have tried the racing seats in a 296gtb and found them very uncomfortable. I am average build but somehow felt that the seat was too big as it didn’t hold me in at the sides. The dealer said that all racing seats are the “large” size so maybe this was the issue. But also they felt that they needed more padding.

They look sensational but it did put me off them.

They are brilliant seats, but cost would be ridiculous. Love the Carbon Race Seats in Ferrari, had them in 458,Pista SF90 and sort out an F12 with them. Incredibly comfortable over longer trips, unlike the 918 Spyder ones across the Porsche range. If you have to retrofit go Goldrake over SF90, just don’t see the benefits, cost/resale.

I’m with Chris on this. I had sport seats in my 458 and they were pretty uncomfortable on long journeys. I have the carbon race seats in the 488 and find them to be infinitely better.

thanks for the feedback guys, I prefer the design and look of the SF90/296 GTB ones, I have had a set of Ferrari Carbon race seats in my Scud previously and they are simply not the best the world, you still it on them, rather than, in them. I have a Porsche with 991 speedster heritage seats, these are totally fabulous from an enveloping comfort perspective

And being 6"6" with 104kg, a set of XL's will fit just nicely

same here - also a Scuderia and I felt like I was sitting on the seat as opposed to in the seat in my RS. My upper body is quite narrow, so I just couldn't get any side support, which on track days, even with the 4 point harness, was not great. They do look nice though.

If you are quite slim then you probably needed the medium seat (most are large). I had mediums in the 488 and they were very fitted, with no possibility of me moving.

Any size other than large is very rarely specced so other than purchasing seperately, to find them would be akin the Holy Grail.
