I came out of my house this morning and heard a sporty sounding engine with some strange wooshing sounds, at the bottom of the drive was what looked like a black McLaren type of car but with a fan cowling on the rear between the exhausts and 'Pre-Series Prototype PS1' on the side.
I was pointing it out to my wife and the driver stopped, called us over and said do we want a look. He was very kind and let us look around and I asked Noob questions like what is it, is the fan actually effective and how is Gordon...

He let me have a gander at the V12 (and its a manual box! bow) and explained how the fan draughts in to the rear diffuser and that it does actually make a difference in handling and MPG economy.
It's the first one off the production line and looked great in black, has the 12GMA registration plate and has done 1400 miles so far. The seats didn't look comfortable biglaugh
I took some pics but don't have a photo storage account to upload from.

I know, cool story bro, but it made my weekend and I'd like to say thank you to the driver who I didn't think to get his name, I was like a little kid in awe over the car! bounce

Excellent spot.
The bodywork is almost understated, hiding the exquisite engineering.

When he drove away and the braked, the sections above the exhausts flipped up like air brakes, just awesome to see in the flesh.

Great that the driver was so generous with his time. I saw one very briefly a few months ago at the M1 junction near Milbrook, guessing it was on it’s way to or form there. Only saw it very briefly but I loved how simple it looked….and small !

Is this the prototype that Andy on here will be getting (I assume after a full rebuild)?
