To anyone who have owned various cars… what’s next?

I’m starting to think, actually that’s not quite correct as I’m always thinking, about my next car. I like to balance heart and head with my likely delusional maths and desire.
I don’t think I have an obvious ‘one’, well nothing I could afford like the F40 etc.
I currently have a AMG GTR Roadster, a Gen 2 R8 V10 plus, 996 Turbo S and Ultima GTR.
In a way things got a little out of control after a bad bike accident left me with health issues, chronic pain and fatigue which meant no life and no work for the last 6 years. Claim is finally settled, for what was my life I got poor compensation but over the 6 years not doing much, spending much, interim payments and final settlement bolstered my mini collection to what it currently is.
I’ve always wanted an R8. Plan was to get one, have it 6 months and at settlement buy maybe a huracan performante, 488 etc. When settlement came I wasn’t ready to sell the R8 and after having a lovely SL R231 I ended up looking at amg gt and gtc and buying the gtr. It’s a great car.
Selling the gtr and r8 would lead to a 488 spider etc. there’s the McLarens although reliability concerns me with those, love the huracan but seems too much - £100k + more than my R8. Where I see a great performance car in the 488, others tend to see the badge and take a dislike, for me the greatest concern is what bills and depreciation may come into effect.
Masaratti MC20 is lovely but too new and if they depreciate like other cars of the marque, I can’t justify loosing so much, too risky in my head. Celio would be a top pick but same reason.
Not biking anymore, I do really enjoy a roof down, preferred hard top. If anyone is still reading at this point is there any advise?

Sorry to hear of the injuries, hope things improve for you.
Not convinced that McLaren reliability is significantly worse than comparable cars, esp if you get a car with a reasonable mileage on it.
You may not be that far from V Engineering who I think can do a better & cheaper job of fettling them than the franchised dealers.
The carbon fibre tub is a particular dynamic advantage if you're getting a Spider.
The cheaper entry price (especially of say a 570S or 650S Spider) starts you off at an advantage in TCO terms vs a Ferrari.
And, the HPAS setup gives really good steering feel.
Anyway, feels like it would be worth trying to get a drive in a McLaren to see how you like it, or not, based on your priorities.

what about a Donkervoort D8 GTO-RS-40-JD70=and so-on about 685kg and 400+ hp 5cyl Audi

weighs only 750kg and has 500hp from a audi 5 cyll, so also a great sound and very very fast.
Almost a bike on 4 wheels.

I considered a Huracan a few months ago, partly because I've never had a Lamborghini.
However, compared to McLaren, they just seemed a bit more compromised. I wanted convertible, but really didn't want a soft top, and the luggage space was too small.
I decided that for my budget, nothing really compared to McLaren. I'd had a 650 spider for 3 years previously anyway so wasn't worried about the reliability. So I bought another one.

The 600 LT is a bit of a balls up as I'm supposed to change every year or two but the McLaren is so good I think I'm stuck with it!
With the change in interest rates for financing I've no real interest in going again with a much more expensive agreement (current car is 7%) so the next car might be a bit cheaper one but no finance. Would happily go back to a 458. The only other things that would tickle my fancy are a to way too expensive. Top of the list would be a 458 speciale or a McLaren 620 or 765 LT. These cars are highly addictive though. When I sold the GT3 I was hankering after the noise and drama of a proper supercar very quickly!

OP my recommendation would be to buy a good driveable classic from the 60's and 70's. A well sorted classic is a joy to drive. Being able to drive a car at what feel's like 9/10th's while still being at or near the national speed limit delivers all the thrills of a modern car. I went out for a fun drive last night..my 991.2 GT3 stays in the garage and my 70's 911 gets taken out more often than not.

Its the perfect supercar if you want a thrill, its exceedingly accomplished, very fast, surprisingly comfortable and can do up to 40mpg. And as mentioned above is already a classic. You can't do any worse than get a recommendation from SSO. To me its peak supercar and I will keep it as long as I am able to until its wrestled from me kicking and screaming when interest rates and taxes reach 95% The only other car I desire is a superformance GT40 but I would not part with the 675LT to make space for one.
