Gen 1 r8 v10 plus servicing
Discussion
My 2013 r8 v10 plus is due for a service. Since the last service it has covered around 300 miles. Current mileage is 13.3k.
Due to low mileage I would like to keep the servicing at audi.
I would like to know what type of service is due at 13.3k miles and can any one recommend me a good Audi dealer who will service the car and avoid any damage to the car or be a victim of some of the horror stories I've heard. I'm based in midlands.
Also what are the approximate costs and do other owners service it once a year or long life service

Actually that's a difficult question without an easy answer.
I would first ask if that's the kind of mileage you would expect to cover in the next year or so. This will have a bearing on what you bother to have done to it.
Secondly, what was done over the last couple of services? For example, items like brake and clutch fluid might need changing or filters of any kind.
There's little point in checking brake pads or spark plugs because you're not actually driving anywhere.
If it's a 2013 model, find an Indy you can trust - the main dealer has little to offer imo

There will always be someone who has a bad word to say about any organisation, but the positive feedback about RE Performance speaks for itself -

I have been around long enough to know about swings and round abouts. Every... Every company has good and bad reviews, so digging up positive reviews does not mean anything on the Internet, especially when bad reviews can not be aired on piston heads.
I was just saying about one experience which was negative.
You pay your money you make your choice, simple.
I have no axe to grind, I only own Italian.

I would be looking at another independent rather than Reperformance.
I just know some one with less than perfect experience with them.
Sorry to hear that!I just know some one with less than perfect experience with them.
I try my best with everyone that comes through the door.
I don’t know who you refer to but I can’t think off the top of my head anyone that we haven’t done a good job for, or certainly that I know of and have reported that back.
Cheers Ricky

I really wanted to use my local Audi dealership but they were so hard to deal with before even booking anything in I was totally put off.
I have a low miles V10 gen 1.
I use a good indy and they service it based on my mileage and the schedule, and they are half the price Audi quote me.
I was worried about not having all audi stamps , but, you know, it's a 12 year old car and I trust my indy.
Plus... There is only so much I'll pay for an oil and filter change which is all it needs half the time, I do local miles only, on the whole.
If you want details of items done and costs I can fill you in when I'm back in the UK in Feb.

Also if there is a problem it might give Ricky a chance to put things right, he might not know a problem even exists, he’s on here I’ve personally heard all good
Mate, like I said. It was a friend of mine.I have heard it all before over the years, from the verdi threads to the Amari threads. There is always two sides, and always good story's and bad. It is what it is.
I had my daily-driver f355 maintained by Karl (Verdi) for the five years that I owned it. The work of his numerous mechanics was ok, but Karl himself was, without a shadow of a doubt, a crook.
Ricky has looked after my Gallardo for the last four years of my nine years of ownership (116,000 miles and counting). It’s a 2005 manual. After Ricky rebuilt the engine and gearbox, it was driven by the main dealer. The dealer principal (9 years with Lamborghini after 10 years with Porsche) declared it the best manual gearbox that he’d ever experienced in a Lambo. He reckoned that, post-rebuild, my 17-year-old car now pulled as hard as a Huracan in third. The chief mechanic (19 years with Lambo, who’d been servicing my car for the previous five years, could initially only say “Wow!” after his test drive.
That same main dealers have just entrusted another customer’s Murcielago engine to Rick for a top-end rebuild.
What Rick doesn’t know about the V10 Audi/Lambo family isn’t worth knowing. And his two mechanics (who carry out the run-of-the-mill service work) are both long-term employees, with years of experience working on high-end sports cars.
I have never had cause to query any bill from Rick. In fact, I know that he has failed to charge me for many hours of labour, when my high-mileage car has fought back!
There will always be the odd one who isn’t happy unless they’re slagging someone off. But in Ricky’s case, you will find several hundred completely satisfied customers for each of them.
