can also check the MoT history https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history and (in this case) ask to see an invoice in the service history for the brake pads being changed this year if looking to buy.

Thank you so much, I would have missed this. I had checked the MOT history and had noted the brake pads advisory. Whilst I am not necessarily worried about a higher mileage car it is concerning as to the treatment this car may have had in its life.

I guess the condition should tell me a lot more. Along with a professional inspection.

Unless that one is an absolute bargain then go for approved used. You get 2 years AMG warranty thrown in to boot.

What would you consider an absolute bargain? Car has done 69,000 miles.

A decent gts with much lower mileage can be had around the 60k mark
