I presume you mean this car https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1976-ford-gt40...
If so, the highest bid was £48,250 (which would be £51,145 with the 6% buyers fee).

great photo, they look so cool, sadly on this side of the water they are around 100k and a LHD starts ate around 120k although say a Superformance GT40 LHD starts at around 200k its not Fair.
I saw a not to expensive LFD in Sweden or Finland, anyways, it looks very strange, not like a normal GT40 but is it the pictures or is the car really not like other GT40... and no it was not a brazilin gt40 on vw, it has a SA GT40 body, but it looked a bit 'wrong' ?
I see if I can find it back and send a link., hm... it seems it is gone, was there a long time.

Was it a replica one of the seven road going MkIII GT40s with the longer rear section and different headlights...?I saw a not to expensive LFD in Sweden or Finland, anyways, it looks very strange, not like a normal GT40 but is it the pictures or is the car really not like other GT40... and no it was not a brazilin gt40 on vw, it has a SA GT40 body, but it looked a bit 'wrong' ?

@P5, its as low looking, but was different, it was just like a GT40 like the one of this topic, but it looked like the body hight was say 10% lower and the pictures looked all a bit strange, yes the lines etc looked the same, but it did not get the, ah a GT40 ala say the model on topic or a superformance or a?
I believe the ad said it was redone with a body from (a SA Gt40 builder) but the one I know from them looked the way the yellow one does, and that LHD example did not looked that way, it looked like a replica from a replica but not so precieze? lol, if it pops up again I shall post some pictures, thought I downloaded some, but can not find them or did not do it at all.
ah found it now for sale via cars and classics
