I bought my first Ferrari, a 328GTS from Simon Furlonger when he worked at KHPC

In the 25 Years I’ve owned 15 different Ferraris, 2 of the cars twice! 8 V8 and 9 V12 ownership periods, average ownership around 28 months
I’ve driven approx. 172k Ferrari miles and used approx 14,500 gallons of fuel, roughly 47% in V8’s and 53% in V12’s.
Average mileage per year is a little under 7k so they’re not garage queens

Great history, thanks for sharing.

Looks like you've settled on two now - any thoughts of moving on to the latest gen (ie 296, Roma)?

Nice history! smile Seeing the F355GTS is a trip down memory lane for me as it was the first Ferrari I ever went in when you took me out at a track day at Kemble many moons ago smile

Very interesting and great to see someone using the cars properly. Would you be willing to share what they cost and what you sold for?

Great to see these cars actually being used. An interesting choice of cars too, any particular highlights? Can you tell us which was the cheapest to run and most expensive, also most rewarding, least rewarding in terms of driver involvement or pure fun.

That’s a great list and what a way to have spent those miles...

The first three on the list are on our shortlist for our first Ferrari, any insights as to their relative merits would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Pad.

12 MPG average sounds thirsty even for Ferraris. Significant track use I assume?

I do think you could write a very good magazine article, or even a book, about your Ferrari ownership and particularly about how you used them.

Love this.

Normally a car ownership spreadsheet is too anal for me, but seeing those mileages is awesome thumbup

Great thread and wonderful that you actually use them properly instead of parking them and trying to keep them under 1000 miles each.
