Hello! I need to get my car MOT'd (Aston Martin) and looking for advice on where to bring it in the Wandsworth area. Nerve wrecked about bringing it to just any old place so thought I'd ask here. I'm happy to travel a bit if worth doing so, but ideally somewhere local would be great. Has anyone any experience or advice?

Although it was a number of years ago I used to use Earlsfield Motors on Penwith Road for MoTs on my 911 Carrera 3.2.

It had a LSD and they were always happy to do the brake test with an accelerometer instead of the rollers. The place doesn't look much, but they were always fair and reasonable.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Phil. I looked them up and unfortunately it look like they've shut down! At least according to Google

Quite concerned about the brake test and rollers actually. The car has an LSD so I'll insist on a road test wherever it ends up

The council MOT testing place (between the one way system and the river) is straight as a die. I’ve had my V12VS tested there. No need for a road test.

Macari do/did use the station opposite where Oddbins used to be and is now flats on the one way system - yellow building saying exhaust specialist as I recall

I've used Frank at JC Autos in Clapham for the past 3 years. He's straightforward, easy to deal with, and won't rip you off. One man band. 020 7738 8651

I also used Clapham North MOT for a bike recently - they were fine, but the bike had been SORN since new for the past 5 years so wasn't expecting anything to come up!

Another vote for this. Wandsworth Council MOT depot was my go to MOT place. Absolutely no incentive to fail you for anything other than MOT reasons.

Going to your local council MOT centre was recommended by moneysavingexpert. It proved to be great advice.
