Getting myself confused here. My R8 V10 front tyres are

Perelli P Zero 235/35 ZR19 (91Y) R01 M0

That's what I read off them.

When I search for tyres, practically every site comes up with

235/35 R19 91Y R02
or
235/35 R19 91Y XL

I can't recall one site so far where I've found a ZR19 other than ebay.

Often if I am asked for the speed rating I don't even get offered Z.

I'm also led to believe the R01 and M0 bits refer to "Audi"/"Mercedes" and dictate the sidwall thickness?

ANy help would be grand as it's a bloody minefield. I just want the same tyres! (got one dead, and one nearly new)

A quick google suggests Z is a bit outdated as Y actually covers "over 186mph" or similar

I'm also starting to think that the Z of the "ZR19" will physically appear on the tyre but the website descriptions don't show it?

The R01, R02 or A0 bit is indeed the Audi spec tyre. ZR or YR will be fine, not sure that there will be any lower speed ratings in that size. The current Pirelli P Zero in R01 spec (R8) is listed as a YR rating on Camskills website. Just get them ordered. smile

Cheers! - thanks for that . Going to get both done. One is 4mm, one is near bald. Assumed one was part worn when I bought the car. Now realised it's my love of one particular motorway junction "roundabout". Front left is near bald :-)
