Thats great........as a matter of interest , did you have full or partial coverage , and what car, if you don't mind me asking
I had full, on a McLaren 650S Spider.I was actually a bit anti-ppf before I had it done. But McLaren paid for my car to be completely resprayed, and it seemed I should take advantage of it and get it protected.
Azuri did such a good job, it completely changed my view. If I replaced the 650 with something else, it would go straight to Azuri.
Have used Topaz in N.W. London so not so far from Bucks - for a few cars, modern and classic. Sometimes people lay into them a bit and I think primarily because they're successful, but the number of super high end cars that go through there - aside of personal experiences - suggests they hit the mark. They also do a covered delivery / collection service.
By the way, the 'famous-ish' guy on social media? Having seen the work up close, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole - lumpy with bit under it, just really low-rent quality. I've never used him, so can only speak of what I've seen when he's been publicising his work in the flesh unfortunately.

No Bucks, but not too far especially if you are based south Bucks, I have had a couple of my cars done by Auto Protek >> http://www.auto-protek.com
They are near Fleet in Hampshire.
I was introduced by a mate that recommended and I would highly recommend as well.

Random question but I guess you have the bodywork fully detailed before the ppf goes on?
Once the ppf is on does the paint still gleam as it does without and what's the deal after with washing, polishing and waxing?
Your car should be suitably prepared as part of the PPF process. Once the ppf is on does the paint still gleam as it does without and what's the deal after with washing, polishing and waxing?
This includes washing and detailing. I doubt it would be as good as a dedicated standalone detail, but it should be decent so that your car looks mint before the PPF goes on.
Depends who does the PPF I guess as to how thorough they are with the prep. But they should really - if its not new - clay the car and do a good level of detailling prior to applying the PPF.
As to washing etc...afterwards. You should be given instructions eg. how long to leave it before washing. A decent PPF should allow you to jet wash your car still if you so desire (I don't), but will also advise on Wax & Polish etc. On mine I find that the PPF is unnoticeable v's the non-covered panels of the car (I have one fully PPFed, and two which are partial - front, pillars, sills and any other more vulnerable parts).
