Any Book Recommendations?
Discussion
Hi,
I’m looking for a book recommendation on the basic mechanics and make up of a car.
I spend a lot of my spare time watching car reviews, reading various forums, driving my cars, cleaning my cars, etc… however I know very little about cars in terms of how they actually work, from a mechanical point of view.
I’m not looking for a degree in Car Mechanics or am I looking to service my cars… however I would like to know more about the principle mechanics of a car.
I could probably tell you the BHP of any supercar released over the last 20 years, but I couldn’t tell you how the BHP works, if that makes sense :-)
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You will want something like this and then add to it the more you get into it.
I had a much earlier version (4th) when I started as an apprentice car mechanic way back when.
