Not seen many R8’s with a litchfield upgrade, they seem more popular with GTR’s?

Have you considered Ricky at RE Performance - he has huge experience in this field with R8’s?

As above, Ricky at RE Performance is an official installer for the APR tune. I had him put this on my V10 a couple of years ago and the difference is certainly noticible.

Are we talking Gen 2? Is this just the tune to take the 530bhp standard cars up to the 600bhp of the Plus cars, or something else altogether?

In my case, it is for a Gen 1 and took the power from 520 to around 580bhp.

Lichfield remapped my R8 RWS to the 605hp R8 Plus tune. It was done very professionally and quickly despite needing to remove the rear diffuser to strap the car onto the dyno. Been done a couple of years now and no issues.
They told me that to go any further than this was not really possible on a standard engine. The slightly higher rated tunes in the Huracan uses different valves and valve springs.

Me too on my RWS.

Next option was to change the exhaust, but 605hp thru the rear wheels is enough for me!

And me especially on bald cup 2 tyres in winter.

Joking apart it’s bloody quick now and I have absolutely no desire to go any quicker. (Do I need to hand In my Pistonheads card now?)

I think I’ll go with Litchfield for my RWS when I pluck up the courage to get it tuned (car is still under audi warranty). I’ve heard a few horror stories with APR software in RS6/7, not just from the internet but from friends

Il be using Litchfield to do the 458 when the warranty runs out.

They quote real HP gains and use the same rolling road the manufacturers use etc.

How do you find the Michelin’s compared to the Pirelli’s?

I find it a little twitchy with the standard pirelli tyres

They are a lot better on Cup 2 tyres as long as it’s warm. I took off the standard fit Pirellis almost as soon as I got it because I bought it for track work. I ran it for quite a while on Cup2’s and then refitted the Pirellis when I was waiting for a new set of Cup2’s to arrive. The difference was much bigger than I expected with a lack of traction and as you said more twitchy. It’s been on Cup2’s ever since. My guess if it’s not being used on track then the sweet spot is probably PS4 tyres which seem to work well on other similar cars.

I hope I'm not stating the obvious here but it's the PS4S you want to go for not the lesser PS4.

I love the Michelins - quieter, smoother and stickier.

Also put them on the B8 RS4 - transformative.
