Collecting Cars
Discussion

The last thread was locked when some unhappy buyers and sellers made statements that the Collecting Cars guys didn’t want made public.
Not strictly true: it was locked when posters broke the rules on naming and shaming by repeatedly making potentially defamatory comments.Your statement above is a prime example: it is potentially defamatory.
Stick to the rules, avoid conjecture and just discuss the cars for sale and this thread will be fine.

So what was posted by its previous customers was all made up and figments of their imagination?Your statement above is a prime example: it is potentially defamatory.

We have no idea. That's why the Posting Rules are quite simple and clear: Pistonheads doesn't allow any naming or shaming. This isn't a forum to discuss or resolve disputes or complaints from one or all parties. Now, back to discussing the cars for sale at Collecting Cars or this thread too will be locked and/or removed.

We should be able to discuss the legal status of sales through any platform and the associated terms and conditions of the contract. Nothing defamatory about that.
The owners of this site and forum determine what can and can't be posted here. It's their trainset; if you want to play you adhere to the rules (and in fact you have already agreed to adhere to them when signing up).

ou can only post and discuss what is allowed in the rules of this forum. Simple, surely?

Please don’t get this thread locked as well. I for one enjoyed the discussion about various cars, specs, values etc. in the last thread and I miss it.
I don’t see any value in discussing the minutia of various legal aspects of the running of the site in this forum.
Let’s stick to the cars.

Sadly it won't be long before the usual suspects turn up with an axe to grind and ruin it for everyone else !
Or perhaps it’s existing customers warning others. It is a absolute joke that if this was a eBay thread the comments from real users would be embraced rather than shouted down by the ‘oh you have an axe to grind’ commenters.
