London Super Car Dealers
Discussion
I think most of their stock is SOR?
No personal experience, but I have seen some comments elsewhere which were......... Not exactly positive.
The one bit of advice I would give you (this might only relate to one specific marque, but not sure) - is make absolutely sure the car is a genuine UK car and not one that was originally registered elsewhere.

Not meaning to promote dealership, but has anyone had any experience (buying) with GVE London?
Stuff like customer service, warranty and quality of stock.
I have read a couple of less-than-favourable posts regarding them on here.Stuff like customer service, warranty and quality of stock.
Think they were along the lines of great until the car is sold, not so great when dealing with any post-sale issues.
I bought a 2020 AMG G-63 from them in April last year. Dealt with George, he was great. Did everything that he said he would. Haven't had any issues with the car, so no need to go back and fix/sort anything. I did get a call from George about a month after buying the car asking if I'd sell it back to them again at a profit, I didn't take them up on it.

Thank you, it was George I spoke to I think. I've seen the bad reviews on Google, at least they have replied to all of them, that is always a good sign. I would be suprised it most of the stock is SOR in the current client. I have no issues with SOR, as I've done that in the past, but admittedly not with this level of car.marky7seven said:

The negative comments I've seen were not from google - real owners experience. But I'm sure there are happy customers too, as already proven on this thread.I will repeat what I said earlier though - make absolutely sure it's a UK car.
Just another SOR dealer, get the deal across the line and not interested if any issues after they have your money.
I bought a car and got them to repaint the calipers. The car then went in for a service the following week & had issues highlighted with how the brakes were put back together. Tried to discuss the issues with them, but got nowhere at all.
Might be worth getting an inspection carried out on the car, if they let you that is.

Purcahsed a Performante through them July last year. Cash. Very much so a SOR dealer.
Not particularly helpful leading up to a visit. When doing the deal, more than helpful. Post deal, pretty crap tbh. Car is fine, more than happy with the car, totally sound but the only reason I went with them is they had the car in the spec I wanted - at the time it was the only one in the country and actually after keeping loose tabs on the market another one the same has yet to come up.
Collected the car with a buldge in sidewall (not there when viewed a week before) - Took 3 weeks and a day to sort.
I still do not have my V5(!)
Ordered a cover (didnt come with the car) wasnt ready when collecting, nor the week after or the week after. Was told it was shipped to me etc, recived when tyre was sorted (so was never shipped).
They were busy, pulled a few lies, I get it. Still, not on but st happens.
2/3 months later, I found the orginal owner via instagram (small world) we talked. Turns out the difference I paid was some 7K different to what they told the owener who of course got 7K less than they should. They even went to the effort of forgeing the sale recipt with the 7K difference. Not only is that not on im pretty sure there is probably some law broken there too and if they would go that far to fraudulently dupe someone for "just" 7K it makes you wonder what else they would do.

I got cold called by this lot when I had my Aventador up for private sale for a brief period last year.
I laughed at the well spoken sales guy and told him 'sorry, no chance I would trust leaving my car with your reputation'.
He did not ask any further questions or attempt any defense.
2 unrelated super car owners have advised me to stay well clear of this lot.
The above post from DamanC comes as no surprise, hopefully they will come unstuck when they do that to the wrong person.
S.O.R can be profitable if done properly, and there is no need to rip off either party.

I have no dog in this fight (other than GVE being a dealership I would never personally deal with after they screwed a friend of mine on an AMG GTR))
I will say this is Pistonheads at its very best. Measured, real feedback on both sides helping a buyer to come to a particular conclusion.
nicely done all.

Did the person complain to GVE?
7k is more than enough to warrant a serious complaint with action. After all, using SOR is there for us to get more return for our cars, so clearly was on the sellers mind when he placed it there?

That is shocking surely the seller should be taking this up with them. Not particularly helpful leading up to a visit. When doing the deal, more than helpful. Post deal, pretty crap tbh. When looking to sell my car recently, they offered to take my car on an SoR basis and I am now glad I didn't take them up on it (they weren't interested in buying stock so it does seem they pretty much have an SoR model as their primary means of selling high end cars as others have mentioned).

Interesting to read this thread as have been in discussion with GVE re a Green AMG GTR in stock. How did they screw your friend with there AMG GTR?I will say this is Pistonheads at its very best. Measured, real feedback on both sides helping a buyer to come to a particular conclusion.

Why do I see appealing stock at the wrong dealers. I like a car at Amari and also recently looked at one GC motors ! Ill continue to walk away and wait, no problem at the moment of course !
