This or a Singer?
Discussion
Perhaps a tough decision if you could only choose one. The craftsmanship, engineering and attention to detail that goes into producing these restomods is truly breathtaking.
I'm sure if I posted this in the Porsche forum it would be an overwhelming victory for the 911 so let's see how we do here Which would you choose?

Interesting project. Thanks for showing yet i do believe, that the Porsche is a better „base“ for retro-modding than the 308 as the Singer just looks more complete. I think the 308evo looks over wheeled and the protruding arches distort the otherwise perfect silhouette of the original design. Id rather have a restored original 308 rather than the evo. With the Porsche its the other way around.
I generally like it, but the wheel tyre combo is too big for me and I really do not like these small clear engine covers
Edit: I assume this costs (a lot) less than a Singer. If same money definitely a Singer for me. At say 200-250k I think an accurate Group 4 308 replica would take the win for me

The wheels are shocking...something I don’t like about the presentation style of the video if I am honest, It’s a biit “we’re the best in the business”...rather than let the product speak for itself. The only thing I do know is that O’Rourke coach trimmers are supposed to be absolutely superb and the “go to” people if you’re looking for a new interior for anything special.
It's that wonderful 246 evo dino that gets my vote every day. Rather that over the singer, and I love the singer.

In a this or that then I would pick this over a Singer assuming that the only factor in the decision is 'which do you prefer' rather than values etc but on the whole I'm not into the older cars.
If I were going for a repurposed classic I think I would have a specialist rebuild a Lotus Esprit.

Which Esprit model? 80s 2ltr turbo or 90s V8 twin turbo? If I were going for a repurposed classic I think I would have a specialist rebuild a Lotus Esprit.
I love the 90s car, very underrated imo.

As and when a decent late model (98? whenever the last interior upgrade was) V8 crops up thats the one for me.I love the 90s car, very underrated imo.
In an ideal world it will be in silver and I will play 'Wild Women Do' on the radio cassette player whenever I'm driving it.

Yea , I remember about 5 years ago I met up with an Esprit twin turbo when I was driving the 355 along the dolomite alpes. Had some great to a fro's with they guy for many many miles. Not much between each car and it was awesome. We both stopped of for some lunch and went back at it after. It was a swiss esprit and I loved it In an ideal world it will be in silver and I will play 'Wild Women Do' on the radio cassette player whenever I'm driving it.

When I was a young man my father did business with a guy who always had Esprits, 'Darren from Tamworth' seeing as you asked. I'm pretty sure he was a pervert but I always liked the cars. I'm not sure if it was pre or post Pretty Woman when I first saw his but the last one I remember was a 1993 GT3.I actually saw one yesterday, only through the window as they were closed, at a car sales place in Congleton that have a car I was interested in. I don't know if it is new in or about to leave but it isn't on their website at the moment.
First impression was WOW especially in that shade of green, instantly reminded me of my green GTB i owned some time ago,
Like the wheels but as already been said they look to big for the car, reminds me of a clumsy puppy with legs to big for it's body,
Easy fix , just down size them , love the throttle body exposed trumpets and Capristo exhaust. interior is to die for but for
some reason i'm not jumping up and down like i should be but not sure why.
Sounds silly but It's almost to nice , Think i prefer my old battle scared war horse of a GTB, it's like that comfy old arm chair that your wife
can't wait to throw out..
Being a Ferrari person more than Porsche i think i would go for the Singer if money no object,
Do we know the price of both ?
If the price is more than a Chairs and Flares Dino or pre- anniversary Countach i'll have one of those please instead
and pass on both the Singer 911 and Evo GTB , sorry my answer is not what you asked .

Yes the presentation style is a bit too much for me. In the Singer interview in the past, the owner seemed much more laid back but showing so much passion for detail - like Pagani. The wheels with the protruding wheel arches spoils it for me. Other than that, the 388 looks perfect in detail and engineering. Very desirable.
I would still choose the Singer because it looked like it handled similarly to the original but with a bit more control going from the videos.
I guess the 388 would be similarly priced to the Singer. I think it was 500k USD
