What was the first supercar that everyone bought and did it lead up to your expectations?

What has been the best and worst of them that you have owned over the years?

High’ish mileage 570S last year, it was on another level from several 911’s I’d always had before, followed by a new 600LT spider that is just amazing but too fast for UK roads.

F430 1st, after many 911's, Lotus etc. Different league obviously in the ownership experience, loved the go cart handling and of course the noise.

458 Italia next, loved the looks, was too fast for the roads where I live and too expensive to track.

Miss the F430 more weirdly...even though by most measures the 458 was the 'better' car...

Argento 355 Berlinetta - loved it to bits, cost way too much in running costs, but still managed more than 20k miles in 2.5 years.... had to sell it as holding on to it for an extended period of time without a job seemed a bit too irresponsible (even with a lot of man math thrown in)
Fulfilled all of my expectations and would not hesitate to do it again - made even commuting dead tired in London traffic at 7:30am in the freezing cold a fun experience

F355 Spyder although it was 10 years old by the time I bought it so I guess was no longer classed as a supercar.

It was everything I hoped and expected but the novelty had worn off after a couple of summers. Still in two minds whether to buy another supercar as I'm not sure I could enjoy it and keep my license.

Esprit Turbo S3. Fantastic chassis but not something to go too far from home in.

Purchased in June 2016 to fulfil a 40 odd year aspiration to own a Lambo. Still have it, covered 14500 miles in it under my ownership (24,000 mile car now). No plans to change it. It’s a piece of me.

Metro Manhattan 1.1. Despite the rust it was a super little car.

Amazing car! I've just been looking at your garage - how do you find the E43? I presume this is your daily?

A Murcielago... bought it new when it was launched. I felt a bit of a knob driving it, had it for a year and bought a Vanquish instead.

Had a few issues with the dealer when I came to sell it.

First and best as i think it was partly the era when you could actually still use them & when they were more special and rare and also because it was my first one, emotionally it was the culmination of a lot of effort and want so it was truly special to me.
Was Lp560 when they came out & i was 29, stepping up from what i thought was a quick Mitsubishi Evo at 400+ hp

First time i drove it i came back shaking and thought i was going to have to return it as it was too fast for me!

Absolutely bomb proof car way better than i expected for reliability and maintenance, which i was terrified of.

Worst was Aventador when they first came out double the cost for everything involved with it over Gallardos, barely any faster - felt more of a gt car and had constant niggles, nothing that stopped it running but a different warning every time you got in it. Looked cool but really didn't like it as a car and was not sad to see it go. Its only benefit was i sold it back to the dealer after a year for what i paid which is the only time i have not made a big loss on a car!

360 spider for me, drove it for seven years, it cured the itch , I kind of regret not having it.
Simple truth is my 987s gives me more pleasure with peace of mind and that below the radar feel.
But it is and never will be Ferrari, just owning and looking at it was the best part for me.

Maybe it had nothing to do with the car.... :-)
