Got some "Beyond Imagination" save the date email for 12.11.2020. Lots of racetrack graphics but not a lot else than that. Have I missed some clues previously? Is this a new car?

Best guess: Stradale Spider - how better to celebrate the start of customer deliveries of the hard top than to make them obsolete in the game of top trumps !

I had the same email, they have been testing a new variant of the SF90 quite a bit the last 3 months so I assume that.

Looks good to me, but one thing.... those mirrors.... they are simply gopping.

Looks a little better than the coupe I think, but still has that imo stupid engine window in the back - IMO those just don’t work if it is not a full sized rear hatch on a coupe

Nice car, but not sure how a spider version of the existing SF90 fits the description of "beyond imagination" ?

Haha, there's a fb thread discussing just that on one of the i8 owner forums!

This video rant of the new SF90 spider and what ferrari do makes total sense to me.
A great rant imo.

Why would you be annoyed about the release of a spyder version that everyone knew was coming? There will still be a lag between actual deliveries of coupes and spyders of about 18 months.

This is more a rant of “I can no longer get a new Ferrari, drive it for a year , sell it for a small loss , and rinse repeat on subsequent models”.

Initial buyers will now have to be wealthy enough to absorb significant depreciation. They will have to hang on to their cars for longer, to justify the cost
of carry, and maybe use them for what they were designed for - driving.

Totally agree, this is the Car Guys finally throwing his toys out the cot at realising that you can no longer offset the cost of buying regular production models by making monies on series specials. He hinted in another recent video that he has other things going on in his life at the moment that mean he needs to free up some cash? His newly delivered Pista Aperta has probably depreciated from new i.e. the gravy train has stopped.

He’s obviously peed off at how much money he’s lost in the last 18 months, but we all knew the previous few years madness of driving a Ferrari for free couldn’t last. Looks like he’s just looking for someone to blame imo.

“Trampling on the feelings of those who love Ferrari the most”...while looking into the camera driving a limited edition Porsche. I think the love affair is well and truly over.
