I bought a part for my car, a centre console in leather. Just realised the stitching is slightly the wrong colour and doesn’t match the rest of the car! Oops. The part is not fitted to my car. There isn’t much stitching either. Can anyone recommend somewhere that is not too pricey that will do a good job? I’m in Surrey but don’t mind posting it or dropping it off as this definitely counts as an essential journey

In what way could it possibly count as an essential journey, it’s self indulgent, idiotic crap like this which will see us locked down over Christmas.

I very much doubt it can be classed as an essential journey but just wrap the part up and claim you're a courier! Probably best not to do it in your supercar though!

Sorry can't help with recommendations though.

Such restrictions do not feature in either previous or current Covid lockdown legislation.

Since you say Surrey, I'm sure D-Class could do it pretty easily.

So many uptight idiots on here. The OP was joking, you all remember what a joke is? it was that thing that was around before EVERYTHING became offensive.

This is rather a thread diversion, but :

The govt advice is : If you can work from home, you should - if you can't, you can still go to work.
While they have mandated that non-essential shops close - they have not extended that to other businesses. To remain open, businesses need revenue / customers - therefore, a business that deals with interior retrim needs customers.

If the govt rules allow them to remain open to conduct their business, and to avoid increasing the massive debt they're currently clocking up due to the support package - then surely it's reasonable that customers actually continue to use that business?

Isn’t it easier to get the matching Audi part.

There’s a million different shades of one colour, and I’m guessing you’ll need to take the car to them to match up the stitching.

See essential journey info above hehe

I bought it when I was on holiday and when I got home I realised that my car’s stitching is light grey not the white I bought the part in. I could send it back and wait for a light grey one to come up but thought I’d give a small business some work instead.

Of course I was joking. Changing the stitching colour of a car’s interior part is obviously not essential. I’m afraid Bennie may not be very bright but I’m sure he has good intentions trying to control the virus and all that smile

Your post made it very obvious you don’t respect and intended to flout rules put in place, if that makes me not very bright then Pot and kettle springs to mind.
