Does anyone on here own or have experience of the new NSX? I'm currently in a merc AMG GTS which I love but I've seen a lovely looking red 2017 NSX that is tempting me.
However I know nothing of them, what are they like to live with but more importantly run. I can read all manner of reviews for how they drive but nothing really for ownership, reliability, common problems etc.

I remember following a thread last year that might be of interest :-

The standout quote I liked was:
"qwick69
Monday 15th April 2019
Still loving every minute of it. I am fortunate enough to have a Porsche and an Aston as well, but its the NSX I tend to go too when I want to just go out for a drive."
made me think I would look at one in the future.

Thanks all. The car is this one - https://www.johnhollandsales.co.uk/stock-list/1203... for sale at the same place I bought my GTS from start of this year.
The colour I need to ideally see in the flesh as it's very orange in the pics.
Main things I'm not sure of;
Dealer support - from the above thread theres only 2 Honda support dealers in the UK and this could get worse the older the car gets
Reliability of the hybrid engine - not seen much on this yet
Interior, whilst nice, doesn't look as special as my Merc.
Is it going to give me anything much over what I already have - the AMG has a brutish muscle car soul to it
Need to do some more research I think

The current NSX (NC 1) is a lovely car and with only just over 100 in the UK you won't find much info on UK cars, for problems you are better off looking over the pond to NSX Prime.

This covers both the original NSX and the current model, I've posted the link straight to the current model page. I'm not aware of any known problems, apart from Honda should of replaced or checked the fuel tank on some cars, as after one US owner completley smashed their car to bits, Honda inspected it and found the worlds smallest crack in the fuel tank, so arranged all fuel tanks to be checked. (unlike Porche or Ferrari who would just ignore said issue).
This is what Doug Demuro thinks of them and I would agree.
I truly love the new Acura NSX, and I think it's the most underrated supercar on the market. It's fast, it looks cool, and I find that it's more of a head-turner than the typical Huracans and 488s, which are a lot more common. All of this is even more true now that these NSXs have depreciated a bit -- they truly offer an unbeatable level of performance, excitement, AND RELIABILITY for the money.

The main issue here in the UK, is that as far as I know there are only two dealerships in the whole Country that can service these things. I know one is in West London, but not sure where the other is. This makes dealer support a little inconvenient, unless you live in the locality of one of the two.
That said, if aforementioned dealers offer trailered collect and return, then that simplifies things a bit, I suppose.

Think these are a great design v modern and futuristic. Only drawbacks for me are the cheap looking interior and the weight of almost 1800kg, that's about 400kg more than a sports series McLaren and 200kg more than V10 R8. Wouldn't fancy tracking something that heavy on a semi regular basis gonna eat brakes and tyres.

I quite like the interior, but that’s just horses for courses I guess.
I am not sure that the NSX is really optimised for track use. It’s more of a Super GT in my opinion.
Hammered one round Ascari and I have to say I disagree - it was absolutely fantastic. I am not sure that the NSX is really optimised for track use. It’s more of a Super GT in my opinion.
Also driven one on the road for a few hundred miles. Got a ridiculous amount of positive comments - def more than anything else I can think of I’ve had. Really great cars ime

Is it still the case that there are only two service centres and both are in London?
Correct and only 8.5 miles from each other.I do know one if not both of them will do a collect and dropoff service.

Bonnet shut line is out on this car so its likely had a wing or bonnet off (drivers side), totally annoys me the guy putting it back cant get even width shut lines.
