Can anyone tell me which car this v10 engine number is from?

Don't know if this helps but my R8 engine number starts with the letters BUJ.

Thanks for that. I am a little surprised no one seems to know on here, or am I . I guess owners technical knowledge goes no further than air pressures in the tyres

The engine no. for a late 2007 Gallardo starts with 07L207 .........

No doubt the 2nd Gen LP engines from 2008 on will be different.
