Until my 355 GTS gets delivered - it’s been about 12 or 13 years since I had a Ferrari (360 Spider) and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

I loved the 360 and regretted selling it the day I sold it, that car was such an occasion every time I drove it - this one is going to be a keeper and whilst it won’t see too many miles - I’ll make each of those miles count!

Also trying to decide whether to take the plunge and go for an 812, it’s either that or a 720s.. not 100% sure yet.

Thanks guys and apologies for the late reply.

You may have seen the car on collecting cars, it’s the ex JK one.

I’ve not managed to take any proper pics yet but you can see the car at : https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1999-ferrari-f...

The car is fantastic to drive and the engine note is amazing, forgot how special Ferrari’s felt - definitely finding reasons to pop to the shop!

It has the usual problem of sticky buttons, had some rubbing alcohol delivered yesterday and will see if I can reduce the stickiness myself. The car is in pretty mint condition however will probably put it in somewhere for a gentle refurb to make it 100% - please let me know of any recommendations around Berkshire. smile

Anyone added some carbon to the inside of the car? Need to replace the internal door handles and thought this might be an option - obviously don’t want to chav it up...

Also, anyone added a stereo with satnav/Apple car play on these? If so, which one? Haven’t actually switched on the current device, prefer listening to the engine - although I have zero sense of direction so will need to add something.

It might be worth costing replacement switches - I think there are previous threads mentioning the US specialists eg stickynomore and one somewhere in Europe - else locally Neal Lucas or QV might have suggestions - but the cost of refurbishing may not make sense

Carbon door sills used to be popular

There was a Ferrari branded Clarion with nav for fifteen hundred quid or something

There are a couple of places that refurbish the parts with sticky buttons, going to send off some of the dash panels from my Maserati once winter kicks in

I’ve now booked the car into GTO Engineering for Thursday - have been really impressed by their speed of response. They are based about 10 mins from me, had passed the building countless times and never realised what they did.

Will post some before and after pics.

Thanks for everyone’s help so far.

Slight update...

The car is currently in GTO who have been hugely impressive so far - they are going to -

- Fit a capristo level 2 exhaust
- Do some paint correction and then ceramic - although the paint was pretty spot on tbh.
- Adjust driver side door as it wasn’t fully shutting.
- Fit a satnav/Apple CarPlay unit with retractable screen
- Recolonise the leather seats
- Fix a mark on the steering wheel

That sounds like a lot of things for a car that was pretty mint smile It’s going to be a keeper so want it to be in a1 condition.

Sounds like some sensible mods and the attention to detail that is commensurate with a keeper.

They truly are an amazing car, enjoy! When I had mine I got some skid plates fitted under the front bumper- (can’t remember the technical term!) That’s a very long front nose there, very prone to contact on the slightest incline/bump. Helped it sound not quite so painful on the scrapes! Bought them off flea bay and fitted them myself.

When I had a 355 I just used to regularly apply some black paint underneath the nose where it had scraped.
