Insurance renewal
Discussion
Has anyone else had large increases on their premiums?
Mine has come through (a 3 car policy), with increases of 46% on a 488 GTB, 51% on a Performante, but ‘only’ 27% on a Corvette C7 Z06.
This follows large increases the previous year.
I have used the same company for 4 years, and have had no accidents, claims or convictions.
Just wondering if it’s a similar story out there.

I renewed last month - hard to compare exactly because last year I insured 3 cars, and this year only 2. However, it had only gone down from ~£1,400 to ~£1,200 which didn't seem much considering the car that was no longer being insured was a Ferrari 360.
I called them because I wanted to make an additional policy change (which increased the premium by another ~£150) - so the new total was similar to last year even though I had one car less. But a quick discussion and it was reduced to £1k. (Admiral)

Assuming no material changes in either your position or the cars themselves then those percentages appear very excessive.
As others have said the likes of Admiral play the game to an extent on renewal but even then your price rise would stand out.
Definitely worth calling them and asking them to both justify and treat you fairly in the same sentence.
Or call a broker ( assuming you're not already with one ) which given your fleet and value must be worthwhile and then let them sort it out which is what I would always recommend -fwiw I use Nowell and Richards -no connection or complaints either.
