As I’ve just returned from my third trip to Modena I thought I’d share where I’ve visited and see if anyone has any thoughts on where I may have missed.

You can take as much time as you like in these places, generally an hour or so seems to cover each museum. If you are committed and plan your agenda you can do the lot in two days easily. Some you need to book and do check the opening days...

Ferrari

Ferrari have two museums and a factory tour (all subject to Covid).

https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/museums/enzo-ferrari...

The Ferrari F1 simulator is worth a go (70,000 Euros cost each).

The two Ferrari museums are about 30 minutes apart.

Maserati

Maserati have a factory tour, but you need to be 18 to do it. They have a shop but no museum and are near to The Enzo Ferrari museum for logistics.

Panini

A great collection including the ex Maserati museum.

The Panini (football stickers) family museum is well worth a visit. It’s free, but you have to email to book in advance as it’s on a farm.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini offer a museum & factory tour as well as a simulator.

https://www.lamborghini.com/en-en/museum

In addition there is a private Ferruccio Lamborghini collection.

Pagani

There is a museum & factory tour available (in my opinion the tour is the best one).

Ducati

Very near to Bologna airport if you have an hour to kill. Museum & factory tour (factory tour is currently closed) along with a great outlet shop nearby.

Stanguellini Museum

By appointment only, but now reopened.

We have stayed here as a family several times and think it’s a great place to be based:

Finally we have flown out but often met UK groups who have driven.

Have I missed anything? I hope so so I can plan another trip.

Not sure if its currently available but you can do a Ferrari owners VIP factory tour if you prebook via a Ferrari dealer.
Fantastic 4hr experience, which includes a visit across the road to the track and historic collection of F1 cars.

You haven't mentioned the wonderful Righini Collection www.righiniauto.it/en/righini-collection.html

Also the Alfa Romeo museum although it is the other side of Milan so might be a bit more difficult to fit in www.museoalfaromeo.com

Of course there are also various workshops, shops and restaurants in the area that are worth visiting too such as Toni Auto opposite the old main gate of the Ferrari Factory who are usually okay with visitors and often have some interesting cars in.

Was lucky enough to meet old man Panini on a past visit. His office is a museum in itself!

Sadly just saw he passed away about a year after our visit.

Love that little custum music shop in the panini court yard. They make F1 manifolds into music systems.
The whole place is a working cheese farm to.

Middle of Italy is a little country called San Marino. We visited a ferrari museum there called Maranello rosso. That was over 10 years ago, a great collection indeed.

Also we visited the MV Agusta factory.
