Best option around 85K ?
Discussion
looking to sell my 991 turbo in the near future and looking for opinions on what next, i dont daily my cars and am looking for a fun weeked car . Theater and overall experience is big for me aswell as performance but i havnt to date done any track days etc. moved from a tuned gtr to my current 991 turbo which i love but would like something more exotic and theatrical , the 991 is classic german amazing handling, fast well engineered but lacks the emotion.
my current options i can think of are r8 v10 plus gen 2 , mclaren 570s . To add something else to the mix i drove my friends ferrari ff few weeks ago and fell in love with the sound , unfortunatly the ff is out of budget but v12 vantage/vanquish d11 are potential options. any thoughts ?

Coming from a Ferrari fanboy i would say a california but from what you want to use it for i would have to say McLaren 570S, end of ...
Nothing gets close at that price unless you could find a bit more for a 650S.
Proper supercars with billionaire doors, nothing gets close for bang for buck.
Everyone will think you have won the euromillions

Been at least a couple of threads on this recently concerning same cars but McLaren 570s without a doubt ( I'm biased of course)...be ready for higher running costs than the Porsche or Audi and warranty is a must tho.
I swapped an underwhelming 718GT4 and went 540C as I didn’t want Carbon brakes. It’s so quick and a lot of fun to drive.bennno said:

funnily enough when I was looking to change from my R8 plus I considered a GT4, nice car had a test drive etc then also test drove a V12VS...no contest and went for the Vantage. The 540/570 a step up from the Aston in terms of tech and performance they are just ballistically quick.Pooh said:

Wow 991 Turbo to a F430. PDK to F1Apart from noise I think that's quite a big step back and not sure what OP would want unless he wants to go Old skool lol

One of the last n/a V8 Ferrari engines 2ft behind your ears Vs some boring futuristic turbo charged 800bhp blah blah.
Your 991 Turbo is a competent if sterile not particularly focused package from a drivers perspective and similar in power delivery to a 570S which on most UK driving roads would probably be less rapid and no more involving.
I owned a 570S for 4 months last summer selling it due to lack of driver focus, some unreliability and plummeting residuals. The power delivery is frustatingly typically turbo elasticated and stock sound poor but the car looks good and is currently great value the lowish mileage 2016 570S having just been sold on CC early £50ks plus buyers premium.
Other alternatives up to £85k?
Not many.
But rather depends if you want newish or older with all associated problems and running costs.
Why not drive a 718 GT4. Normally aspirated linear power delivery, 8k rev limit detuned GT3 cup car engine, driver focused and as rapid as a 570S on the road and better on track too.
Current flipped cars are £100k plus spec dependent but lower spec without ceramics and clubsport c £90k so great value.

I sold my 718GT4, entirely impractical on road due to height and length of nose.
Gt4 wouldn’t see which way a 570S went, heavier, gappy gears vs dual clutch and a third less power imho.
Besides buyer wants a supercar and Cayman isn’t that, for 85k it’s a sports series McLaren, r8, SVR f type, AMG GTR, or older Ferrari / Lambo.
