Car must pass inspection first at Lambo authorised dealer, then
12 months inc vat Aventador £6,599 all V12 models
12 months inc vat Huracan £3,799 all V10 models

Does not cover wear and tear etc and I believe no excess, or claim limit.
Small chance Performante / LP750 SV models will be different prices but I will confirm all specifics tommorow..

Key obviously what’s actually covered.

Seems fair.

Don't know about aventador but huracan seems like no common faults?

Aventador price looks pretty steep considering the car is not at all complicated, but then it may be the labour cost of accessing some parts if the engine has to be removed...a gamble I guess.

They seam really expensive.

I've just taken out a new 12 month extended warranty from McLaren for my 570s and that was £2,985 (inc VAT). Given the slating McLaren get for unreliability, and positive reputation Lamborghini have in comparison, I'd have expected the Huracan to be much cheaper.

The high cost is likely to be driven by higher parts pricing (read markup) that premium OEMs use as an additional income stream after initial sale. This same factor can hurt them during the initial warranty period and a cash generator thereafter.

6.6k for a Lambo V12 seems very expensive compared to Ferrari warranty on F12 at 4K...

I’d happily run a modern Lambo without warranty, as has been mentioned they’re are reliable I’ve not heard of a Huracan drivetrain or engine failure. On the Aventadors it’s usually after market parts causing issue.

Here is the first one you’ve heard about then......

My first Performante dropped a valve and needed an Engine replacement, the car was 4 months old and had just 1200 miles on it.

The dealer was great and offered me a replacement car as I didn’t want it back with a new engine in when it was so new.

I think my old car is still for sale, no mention of the engine replacement on the advert though.

After having 2 gallardos with no big bills I wouldnt bother, probably wouldnt bother with a huracan extended warranty either, the V10 engine and dual clutch gearbox is known mostly to be fairly reliable and bulletproof (always will be exceptions to this, as described above) however I just had a new gearbox fitted to my aventador S that would of cost approx 34k if I had to stump it up myself.
The V12 models seem to be much more likely to offer up a massive bill if you get unlucky, and I don't know of any other warranty provider that would offer a decent aftermarket warranty with a suitable max claim limit.

Still that's great service from Lambo a bit different from Porsche who just keep replacing GT3 engines.

It’d be a lot less than an Aventador - much less to go wrong.
