What do people think of the asking price of this: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202...

And what too look out for when buying a used Huracan?

They’re a great looking car but potentially due a sharp value correction - this is a nearly new 720s? Personally, I love the Huracan but they could take a bartering in the near term.

More generally, worth understanding why JCT are retailing that particular car through their Bentley dealership?

A few people have said this about the value correction, not talking about the current Covid-19 situation, why do you think the correct will happen, and are we talking 10%? Sorry for all the questions.

As JCT do not have a Lamborghini franchise they will use the Bentley showroom as it will have access to VWFS funding with similar residual values to a Lamborghini dealer using the same system. It might also be that they took it in PX against a Bentley but more likely from their Ferrari franchise.

As for the car, love the colour scheme,

Apologies, I thought JCT had a Lambo franchise. Nothing to worry about there then.

On value, I would imagine that car listed for c£190k when new in 2015. At the sticker price, it’s retained over 65% of its value over five years. It’s a ‘mass produced’ entry level super car which has now been superseded. That doesn’t seem logical or sustainable to be. Worth tracking against the Gallardo trajectory.

To me, a car like that is value at £100k when you compare it with the alternatives. That said, it’s a Lambo and logic need not apply!

If it was £100k, I would have it now lol. Can't do anything yet, see how the market goes in the next 4 weeks. If we start to get more positive news in the media, I might put a cheeky offer in.

I have a 2015 610-4.
Nothing much gone wrong with it, the only issue i have was the rear bumped melted itself, i think thats a known fault as theyve revised it with a grill on the evo.

But fixed under warranty, i've done 12,000 miles in mine, it's been great, but visibility is terrible, especially if you're tall.
Also all seat options not that comfy.

I came from a 12C after getting sick of the reliability issues i had with,
Sterring is numb in comparison, but the engine sound is fab.

Thank you, I'm only 5.7 so should be no issue there. Are you still under main dealer warranty?

Make sure to get the mileage verified by Lamborghini from the ECU.

As much as I love Lamborghinis and the Huracan am not sure I could justify buying one over the R8 getmecoat

50K less would get you virtually the same car albeit not as pretty or attention grabbing..

I like the R8, the issue I have with it is the facelift version looks so much better, then your around £110k for a performance version, but you do get a nice warranty with it.

So looking at the Gallardo trajectory for a 5 year old its between £135k - £140k, but then on 6 years there is a big drop to £100k-£120k

Generally the same car underneath - if you want attention and 100% supercar experience then a lambo it is - if you want something more refined, mature and save a packet, R8 all the way.

This is nice, just the front isn't as aggressive as the facelift.

If you want some impartial but knowledgeable advice, you could do a lot worst than speaking with Ricky at RE Performance in Swindon.

Mine went out of warranty in September.
It's a 4 year factory warranty on the Huracan, no option to extend it, but given the low running costs I'm not worried.

I've tried the new R8 and the Huracan is just more fun, it's got nicer paddles for the gears, louder, feels more extreme.

I dunno, I just preferred the Huracan, each to their own, it's a funny car as if you have the Huracan everyone tells you it's a over priced R8.
If you have the R8 everyone says it's a poor mans Huracan.

But they're very different cars, I would try both see which you prefer.

To some, that's an insult, to some a compliment. That's what makes it all such good fun

It's not just a case of which one you prefer it's how much you prefer it IMO. I would imagine 90% of folk would prefer the Lambo including me.

But an R8 with a fancy exhaust and maybe some extra quality carbon fibre and a Caterham 620r in the garage for the price of a Huracan......
