Speed limit on the highway? Not in Germany. Nevertheless, an unknown Ferrari driver, who was traveling at 372 kilometers an hour on the A7 in northern Germany, faces a penalty.

Saw that in the German press a couple of days ago. Driving that fast is ok (if not sth I personally would do), but doing it one-handed with your phone in the other hand is rather irresponsible, esp as aiming the phone is a distraction you really don’t need.

As they said though you'd have thought he could've sprung for a go-pro!

Something doesn’t add up here... LaFerrari has a top speed of 349kph.

Normally with Ferrari, that is is a very Italian 349kph, ie down hill with a tail wind, nobody in it, etc, even if it is accurate, that makes the speedo 7% out which is shocking by modern standards.

I’d say it is a pretty small difference and definitely in the realm of possible given the speeds.

Got to agree with that wink
It's like jumping out of a plane with no back up parachute holding a phone filming it biggrin Now that would be an outstanding effort smile

Which is why I do use a GoPro (wrist mounted in this case) and have reserve with a proper AAD (automatic activation device)

He seems to be in reasonable control

And certainly has some good road sense - he is moving over to the inside lane prior to a left bend and moving well away from other vehicles.

Being on his phone was a bit silly though. Wonder how they were able to track the driver down, I'm assuming he shared it on his public profile.
