So you lot thought 40,000 miles was high ! if r.h.d (not easy to see in photo's) and the mileage is the only negative thing with no other stories seems like a bargain and they might even take a offer,

Yes RHD, see 2nd to last pic, also under £100k! (people have been waiting when this was going to occur for a 458)

A full engine rebuild??? That would get me slightly nervous.

Is it a fantastic buy though? It may have had an engine rebuild, but the rest of the car has still done a lot of miles so wear and tear costs could be high (albeit a PPI may help spot some items). At what mileage do Ferrari refuse to warranty a car (I cant remember the mileage limit on their policies) as a lot of people like to keep a warranty on these. Also, unless you are going to keep it forever, your putting 90k in a car that will be very difficult and take a long time to sell!

it's a good car to keep forever though. things like seats etc can just be retrimmed and the car will look new.

the engine will be fine for many thousands of miles now

Really depends on the condition of the 458. If its like an old new car which I suspect it may be I think she's a bargain even with the miles - I suspect she will still be worth £75k even with 150k miles. Very desirable car in my eyes if the engine build carried out by a reputable engine builder and you plan to use the car like a daily wink

If it was bought and kept being used, it'd be a mighty nice thing to have as a conversation point.

"Yeah, that;s my ferrari. 150,000 miles on it now."

Makes for a nicer story than "yeah, that;s my ferrari, it just had another coat of wax put on it".

I paid more for a 993 C2 with 90k miles in reality link on page 50 but that includes 18 months of running costs.

If this 458 had been around when buying a fun car I can't imagine walking past it at £90k budget for guilt/depreciation free miles use as much as you like car like our 993 - the other side of the coin is she may well cost more to run - bet she drives well.
