I haven't a clue where to post this for most relevance and a chance of it being seen so I'll try GG and see if it gets punted elsewhere.

I've got a list of 40 things I want to do before my 40th birthday which is in June 2021. Seems a fair way off but one or two are fairly pricey/take some planning and others are just plain difficult.

Anyway, moving swiftly to the point... I have a not-too uncommon favourite ever car and in case you hadn't guessed, it's the magnificent and iconic Ferrari F40. But I've never even managed to sit in one and this is something I'm very keen to rectify. One of my 40 before 40 tasks is to have a ride, no matter how short or sedate in my dream motor. Before approaching dealers who would no doubt laugh/call the Old Bill/kick me off their premises before you could say "Pininfarina" I thought I'd have a very speculative punt to see if anybody on here knows of an F40 owner who would consider letting a Northern Oik like I experience a brief ride along in their automotive masterpiece. Please.

I know it's a massive long shot but stranger things have happened!

Get in touch with Supercar Driver, there's a couple of F40 owners in Yorkshire that might be able, you've even got a choice of colours laugh

The Sporting Bears have a member who has an F40. He doesn't come along to many events, but does occasionally bring it along to car shows where they are offering rides. Last time I saw it was at the Camberley Car Show 2018, where there were rides on offer for £100 donation to charity.
You could keep an eye on any events they are doing near you and ask if the F40 is likely to show up.

Thanks Murphy, another avenue I'll follow up and certainly wouldn't begrudge a £100 charity donation.
