Beautiful day on Sunday so took the opportunity to get spend some time in the 430. Lots of cars out and about but still plenty of quiet B roads if you are prepared to go a bit off piste. Did a loop up to Silverstone and then back down to the Chilterns. The only downside of seeking out the quiet twisties is that they can be bumpy and after last week's rain - the occasional muddy patch. All makes for huge fun and brilliant 2nd/3rd gear driving. The car has been really reliable this year and I have put over 5000 miles on it between track days, driving tours, LeMans and weekend blasts. Annual service at DK Eng didn't turn up anything dramatic but my winter projects list looks like this - all reasonable considering the use.

1. New tyres - I'm using Michelin Sport 4S and they tend to last a year given use above.
2. Some minor rim damage that needs sorting - I have OZ UltraLeggera wheels on it which are about 4kg a corner lighter.
3. Both front lower ball joints need replacing which I will get from Hill Engineering - the current ones lasted 4 years.
4. Some play in the left rear tie rod - as above.
6. F1 pump sounds louder than usual. I have the upgraded pump from Juri in there, fluid levels and are pump times are good so I will check if it is rubbing on something.
7. Maybe tidy up the wrap as it's taken a bit of a beating. That said I quite like the 'patina'.

These are pretty straightforward jobs and will keep me entertained if/when the roads can't be driven. Couldn't be happier with the 430, as said elsewhere I have made quite a few mods to get it right for my use and as a result it ticks all the boxes for me. Anyone else building up a Christmas list? Gratuitous picture from yesterday.
