In amongst the Mclaren baiting and what is a super car mumblings, theres more fun to be had out there.
I’m still a member on some TVR groups, and the posts there are comical.
Don’t worry about what a super car is, a 488 can’t shake off a Cerbera. Having owned one of these contraptions I’m pretty sure the 488 driver must have been drinking a coffee.

First time in my life (and been going to VMAX for years) i've seen a guy push his car up the starting queue on virtually every run presumably to stop his TVR from over heating? His Mrs jumps out to help him! What a charmer

My brother bought a TVR 350 from new. It broke down the first day and a few more times from there. He got locked out and even locked in. The car didn’t turn off even without the key being removed from the ignition. Despite all of this he loved it but when his pregnant wife was on the motorway the wipers wouldn’t work as it started to rain. That was the point when enough was enough and sold it.

a bit harsh to sell the mrsMany moons ago I had a Chimera as my only car which lived outside and it never broke down in the couple of years I ran it for - it was very reliable. The only time it left me stranded was when I ran out of petrol because I hadn't reckoned on the millimetre precise reading of the fuel gauge! I wasn't popular with the rush hour commuters on Bracknell's Twin Bridges roundabout that day, I can tell you...
The Chimaera isn't, wasn't, and never shall be a Supercar, though!

Would love a TVR - still have not bought one, but remember test driving a Sagaris when they came out - memorable experience / should have bought one when they were affordable
The straight 6 must be among the best sounding engines ever imo
One day I will own one - maybe a nice T350 or a Cerebra

a bit harsh to sell the mrsFond memories. I had a 4ltr 1995 Chimaera in Paris Blue when I was in my 20's (late 90's). Only thing that failed was the starter motor which was a rover part and cost me about £30. Just happened to break down outside a very busy pub in St Albans, not my coolest moment. Car seemed very fast to me at the time, replaced a 928S so probably weighed a 10th of that! Eventually was involved in a bad accident on the old M10 and too be fair, the car was in a right state ... except for where I was sitting! Lucky escape. The battery had shot out through the wing, the roof was a couple of 100 mtrs away in a field. When I went to look at it a few days later the whole rear section from boot hinge to bumper was to the left about an inch or so. Fun days
