Future value 911.2 Gt3rs vs Huracan Performante
Discussion
I currently own a 911.2 gt3rs non-weissach done about 3000 miles from new , i am thinking to swap it for a huracan performante because i never own a lambo before , due to me moving out of the UK in the end of 2020 , i have to sell a car whichever car i own , which car will hold better value in the future should i stick with gt3rs? Or should i move to a lambo , i dont want to lose alot my old mclaren . What do you guys think ?.
My guess is that in the long run the Lambo will be worth quite a bit more than the RS.
End of 2020, I think they will lose about the same from today (assuming they cost roughly the same today) - put differently whichever is more expensive today will imo likely lose a higher absolute gbp figure
If you want a Lambo, I would buy it if I were you

it's hard to know tbh, I was absolutely sure the 670-sv would skyrocket in price considering how good they are and how limited in numbers they are End of 2020, I think they will lose about the same from today (assuming they cost roughly the same today) - put differently whichever is more expensive today will imo likely lose a higher absolute gbp figure

Did you buy the RS from new? If yes you just can't go wrong imo they will retain far more money. The Lambo is spectacular though but they are dropping and as such represents great value.
/thread. If you paid list for the RS you're in credit currently - you might even be able to roll that credit into the Lambo and keep your net input to whatever you paid for the Porsche. I'd be surprised if the Lambo fell that far in 15 months but even if it did you'd have had a bit of free/cheap motoring! While it was indeed very hard to get a GT3RS in UK when it was on sale, it was not that difficult to get one in Conti Europe. (this has been widely discussed here before.) A quick search shows there are over 50 used cars on sales at the moment in Europe. Ignore the lowest price units (185K euro) as they are repaired, the 2000 miles, 1 year cars are asking for 200K euro including tax vs 200K GBP in UK.
Performante held value much better in Europe as 6000 miles 2-year cars on average are asking for 225K - 230K euro vs 185K-190K GBP in UK (similar mileage and year). Almost all performante car owners were offered a slot of SVJ in UK and I think many accepted it so they traded in Perf, which increased the supply. Lambo controls SVJ more tightly in Europe. When I attended the Esperienza, some German/Italian friends said they were given a slot because they bought 2 new cars from Lambo before and they had one live Urus order in the book.
anyway, my point is probably too obvious, which is the residual value depends on supply and demand. GT3RS and Performante have different supply and demand dynamics in UK and Europe so the similar spec cars have very different residual values.
If I were in your lucky position, I would sell GT3RS now as you are deep in the money assuming you bought it new. then use the proceeds to pick up either Performante or 600LT (very impressive car just exhaust is a bit disappointing although this is probably the only car that let the driver see the flames through rear view mirror. very childish! i love it.). I think by the end of 2020, you should not lose more than what you would have earned today from GT3RS.

I know different markets, difference prices but the GT3RS is plunging in North America and inventory is increasing. In fact stateside the GT2RS' are piling up so it could be a ominous warning for things to come for the local market.
The HP has taken a dive as well which was expected and it doesn't help when a new model comes out but I believe future prices will be dependant on the HP variant of the EVO. The rumour right now is a very limited STS/STO version. If this holds true the HP prices will remain strong.
There's a lot of what if's atm but VAG is a financial mess. Porsche is taking over Lamborghini and wants to cut cost and streamline the production so I doubt they're going to spend a ton of money in R&D for a HP version 2 especially with the replacement Huracan right around the corner which btw might not have a NA V10.

im not an expert by any means..... but from what i gather the 997 gt3rs was a hard sell from new and values plummetted... values have risen on account of it being various lasts for the gt3 rs incl manual option.... the 991 gt3rs has really risen in value as it was meant to be the last NA rs car from porsche, and a crazy clammer to buy from all and sundry at bit like the subprime market in the US..... porsche seem to be producing more and more NA cars and maybe they will never stop, in which case there will be nothing special about the 991 gt3rs
the next v10 lambo will be hybrid, no doubts about that, and i do not think the evo special will be as mass produced as the performante was, though i could be wrong on all counts

About 100 units world wide for the Evo track special apparently. More GT3 type of car than a roa track special from what I was told.KHK said:

Yes, basically the GT3 car but road legal and supposedly RWD as well. I assume they'll attempt another ring record.

"Latest news by a good source is that the STO ( Super Trofeo Olga ) is complete and being tested and should be out late next year. It will have a radical body kit, possibly more extreme than the GT3 race car ( hard to imagine ) and should be very limited"
Some dealers have informed VVIP clients about the car and taken deposits. You'll basically have to be in the top 3 at your local dealer to even get a shot but that's assuming your dealer gets allocation.
