Anyone got any suggestions for insurance? Its renewal time with Locktons and the price is creeping up again.

Its for a 355 so classic type policy needed.

Thanks!

Have you tried haggling with Lockton? Last year I felt the price had crept up a bit too much and after haggling got a significant reduction - circa 25% from memory and they maintained that at renewal this year. Their policies are very good so if you can get a sensible price worth sticking with them IMHO.

Try Mannings. I have been using them for years for specialist insurance. Usually fairly competitive. 01491 578759

I'm with Footman James. Renewal came through earlier this year and it was £150 less than previous year. Called them to ask why and they said they'd shopped around the market themselves and got it for less, thus passing saving onto me. Paid £500 this year. 3000 miles/yr, valued at £75k. Don't think that is too bad.

I would recommend Hagarty, very knowledgable staff and breakdown recovery included.

Out of interest, what have you been quoted as a renewal for your 355? I know there are various variables, but is £500 a reasonable/sensible fee?

I have been with PW for nearly ten years but have found them less than competitive in recent years. As a result I've given my business to A-Plan this year. Considerably more competitive and treat you like a valued customer.

I have fleet insurance on most of my cars with NFU including my 458..unbeatable combination of both value and quality cover..IMO. Whichever Porsche i have a need to use on trackdays i'm with Footman James who are excellent with very reasonable track day cover included including most Euro tracks..
