As per the title - I'm wondering where people go for an aftermarket warranty for a Maseratis (in this case a GT).

I'm in the market to for one (will be swapping from a Porsche Cayman, as I could do with back seats) - but given the costs involved when something goes wrong I'd like to get myself some sort of safety net.

Having looked around many places don't seem to want to offer warranties for these types of vehicles, so any pointers would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I think you will struggle on a 10+ year old car. Even the AA’s £500 parts and labour warranty only goes up to 10 years.
Also, given that warranties on 3-4 yr old cars are circa 2-3k a year if you can find something it won’t be cheap. A slush fund may be the best way forward.

If you buy from a reputable dealer (Richard Grace) you will get a warranty - if you buy private try Warranty wise

Warranty direct doesn’t even have Maserati listed.

Warranty wise says a personal assistants will be assigned to call you back.

Maserati themselves only cover cars up to 7 years old.

I wouldn't worry too much they're solid cars and the things that cost money to sort are unlikely to be covered. ANy warranty would cost you £2k+ a year. I'd say if you're O spending £2k-£3k a year on maintenance you should be OK with one.

Expensive front suspension is one, looking at c. £2.5k for a rebuild
Brake discs & pads are expensive (use the pattern discs from Eurospares & EBC Yellow pads)
Rocker cover gasket is known to weep, doubt a warranty would cover
They you have the variator issue - just do your researcha and buy a car that isn't vulnerable to it or has already been fixed
And check underneith for corrosion

All of the above. Solid cars, just not cheap to run.

Selling an 09 MC with all brakes / pads, suspension refresh etc last 10K. PM me if interested.

Thanks for the replies guys (sorry for the slow reply).

I notice that some independent dealers (non specialists) seem to sell with a warranty, but I guess they have access to trade/dealer options that we don't,

The slush fund is probably the way forward, if I do decide to bite the bullet. I did this (along with an AA parts and labour product) with the current Porsche Cayman.

I shall do some further research!!
