Should I swap my F430 into a 540c/570s?

Morning
Ignoring residuals (assuming I can get a decent p/ex) is a Mclaren 540/570 enough of a step up from a F430?
The Ferrari puts a smile on my face every time I see it, drive it and put it away but I can’t help but lust after something newer......
I know the market is rather brutal right now but has anyone made the change?

Switching is always expensive, so you'd have to have money to burn to change to another supercar. You can't use more power on British roads. My 360 is a blast to drive, I wouldn't switch it for anything. I would maybe buy a track day car in addition though...Caterham R400 or something...

You'll get a low bid on the 430, even if you buy a 540/570 for a decent price (c.£100k), there'll be £10-£15k margin so you'll lose that also.
If you love your 430, keep it for now and enjoy it, I miss mine after stepping into a 458...
The post above also rings true with me re enjoying cars on the roads these days, the Macs are so capable, you'll be doing well to get anywhere their limits on the roads without doing stupid speeds. That's the reason the 458 went but the 118bhp Elise stayed in my case.
The 430 may not be anywhere near as capable as a 540/570, however as an event to drive it's right up there IMHO.

I disagree.I think that you would currently get a great deal for the F430 from a McLaren main dealer against a 540 or 570...they need to sell them.
Thing is, and no disrespect here as i came from an older Ferrari to McLaren, after a test drive your F430 will feel as though it was from 1920.
Go for a test drive and as a previous poster said, it would be strange if you didn't make the figures work...
I am not sure - I have not driven a McLaren, but would more see it as an addition as opposed to a replacement for a 430.
I wouldn't trade my 430 for a new "standard" McL or Ferrari, even if it cost the same. Maybe a 675LT (have a soft spot for those), but probably neither a Speciale or Pista actually. I also do agree with the poster above that they are all way too fast, so additional speed is imo of little interest (and I live in Germany so could actually use the performance if so inclined).

Think I’m going to hold onto the F430, I don’t think I’m good enough a driver to get the more from a McLaren than I do now from the 430 but it’s an itch I’m sure I’ll scratch maybe in a year. The rate the McLarens are dropping though means a 720s is going to be in budget fairly soon I personally feel.
That said every time I drive the 430 I love it and it still gets a fair few looks so time shall tell!
