It'll fit okay as the entry is pretty gentle but it's only 900KM from Paris to Nice and the roads are quite until 50KM from Nice once you're out of Paris. It's about 7 hours done sensibly or 4 and a bit hours pushing on in the early hours, by the time you're done loading etc. you could be halfway there!

It's only about 100€ so worth it IMO, especially if you're going on the Autoroutes as it's pretty boring. Plus your train tickets of course as you travel separately.

I would say no way will it fit! I went a few years back, took my 997 GT3 and it didn't get 3" up the ramp. They are quite steep! In the end I had to remove the front rubber splitter, put it in the back and luckily there were some bits of wood handy to provide a temp ramp. Ironically, the other end for drop off is almost flat.

Alternatively, you could call them. Give them the make and model and a lovely french lady will look up the 599 on the chart. Then... promptly you'll hear the word. 'Non'

Their rolling stock was designed years ago and I think the last Ferrari that would have got a 'Oui' was the 360.

Shame as I did eventually just get the GT3 on and it was magical, first class to Nice on the TGV for £50 while the car goes overnight and a big save on miles. Not to mention the bubbly consumed safely en-route.

You have an outstanding trans continental GT Car. Use it as intended and drive there.

Oh, you can’t. I have just realised that a round trip of 1800km plus whatever you down there will likely halve the value of your Ferrari because they can’t possibly have “high” mileage can they? tongue out

I am sorry. I just don’t understand why you would not want to cruise to the South of France in a 599 or indeed any other high performance GT mile muncher. I am, of course, not in possession of any mitigating facts. Enjoy your trip nonetheless. smile

On the contrary my 599 has 41K miles on it ... which makes it a high mileage 599 somehow! I know what you mean and possibly I should. I prefer driving in Italy rather than France

Worthless, scrap it haha. I have a 570S with 34k coming anyday, soon be worth nothing too!
I used that train when a load of us went to SOF on motorbikes many years ago, it was a great idea and at that time it left from Calais so even better than Paris. I'm interested to see if it will accept your car, if so mine might fit with nose lift and as you say it's better driving in Italy than France.
